KYOCERA Fineceramics Europe GmbH at ARABLAB 2024 in Dubai: water neutralisation for resource-efficient water management
Kyocera will be exhibiting in the German Pavilion at the ARABLAB exhibition 2024 taking place in Dubai from September 24 to 26, 2024 and will be presenting its water neutralisation solutions, which facilitate environmentally friendly wastewater treatment in the process industry.

Kyoto/London − Every time we reuse water, we protect the environment and save costs. Kyocera neutralisation systems ensure that wastewater is reused in industrial processes or discharged into the public sewage system or waterways in an environmentally friendly manner. If necessary, this is carried out in conjunction with downstream wastewater treatment to remove other substances from the water. With these solutions, Kyocera is doing justice to its commitment as an environmental and innovation driver.
The international non-profit organization CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) recognized Kyocera for its environmental commitment in April 2024. Kyocera was therefore awarded on the ‘A List 2023’ for outstanding environmental transparency and achievements in the fight against climate change for the third time and continues to make important contributions to environmental protection and occupational safety, especially through its environmental solutions. For example, these are used to clean toxic exhaust air – such as hydrochloric acid vapors – or to neutralize wastewater.
Kyocera’s environmental technology supports the sparing use of resources
Wastewater from industry varies greatly in composition but is generally rarely pH-neutral. It must therefore be neutralized – usually to a pH value between 6.5 and 9 – before it can be discharged into the public sewage system or bodies of water or reused in an environmentally friendly manner within the plant. Wastewater neutralisation is therefore essential, especially for industrial sectors with acidic and alkaline wastewater. Kyocera’s participation at ARABLAB exhibition will highlight a neutralisation system that can be used to neutralize water to a pH value of 7 by adding acidic and alkaline solutions. These appliances are available with capacities from 200 up to 1800 liters per hour.
Kyocera’s neutralisation systems work using a continuous neutralisation process: the pH value of the wastewater is measured using a probe and automatically adjusted by dosing with an acidic or alkaline solution. The result is a neutral pH value.
Kyocera’s neutralisation systems have been proving their worth for over 30 years in operation at leading pharmaceutical and industrial companies, as well as in many laboratories worldwide. The company’s services in this field include engineering and planning of systems by Kyocera's in-house teams, support with project planning, risk assessment and preparation of individual certificates, construction of the systems, installation and commissioning, ongoing maintenance and much more.
