Additional speaker announced for Green Card Seminar
04 June 2009
AEA Group join prestigious line-up
Kyocera are delighted to announce that Mark Johnson of AEA Group has agreed to speak at the Green Card Seminar in July.
Mark is a Principal Consultant with AEA. He manages AEA’s support to DEFRA on the Carbon Reduction Commitment and has delivered other emissions trading policy projects covering the spectrum from the EUETS to personal carbon trading. He also leads carbon management projects as part of the Carbon Trust programme.
Kyocera are also happy to confirm that due to popular demand, the Green Card Seminar has now been extended into the afternoon when we will be showing a private screening of The Age of Stupid.
The Age of Stupid is a 90-minute film about climate change, set in the future and stars Pete Postlethwaite as a man living alone in the devasted world of 2055, looking back at “archive” footage from 2007 and asking: why didn’t we stop climate change when we had the chance?
This completes an agenda on the Carbon Reduction Commitment in the ever successful event.
Other speakers will include Tracey Rawling Church of Kyocera, Henry Garthwaite of The Carbon Trust and Dan Illett of GreenBang.com
The event will be held at 100 Longwater Avenue, Green Park on the 9th July. To sign up for the event, please visit www.thegreencard.org.uk
Kyocera are also calling for entries to their annual GreenLight Awards. The awards recognise individuals and organisations that have been instrumental in identifying and meeting an environmental challenge associated with their business and/or promoting public awareness, understanding and active concern for the enhancement and protection of the environment. They are judged by an independent panel and will be presented at our annual Green Card Conference.
There are five regular award categories:
