A big fan of Reading FC fans

Club Sponsor invited to join the Supporters Trust at Reading Kyocera is delighted to announce that the company has been invited to become an honorary member of STAR, the Supporters Trust at Reading.

STAR has recognised the high level with which Kyocera has engaged with the club and charitable initiatives such as the Royal Families, of which Kyocera is a founder sponsor, and therefore decided to extend the offer of honorary membership to the company. Michele Law, spokeswoman for STAR, commented: “Kyocera has been involved with so many activities around the club since the sponsorship began for the 2005-2006 season that it’s clear that this is more than just a sponsorship deal for the company. There’s a real passion for supporting the club and its fans and honorary membership of STAR will give Kyocera yet another way to get behind the team.” Rob Forbes, Marketing Communications manager at Kyocera added: “We are truly honoured to become members of STAR and in return we will be working closely with the organisation and lending marketing support to all of its community and charitable activities. STAR does a marvellous job of marshalling support for Reading FC and safeguarding the interest of fans. As a company we are committed to supporting the Club and the town to the very highest level and working with STAR will undoubtedly help us to achieve that.” The next big event for STAR and the Royal Families will be the Charity Quiz night which is taking place on the 18th April at the Crowne Plaza hotel on Richfield Avenue. The event is open to STAR members who are invited to enter teams of up to 6 people. Entry will cost £4 for STAR members and £5 for any non-members that attend. Kyocera will be providing support by donating a signed Reading FC shirt as a quiz prize, plus designing and printing tickets and generally helping to promote the event.
